FAQ
Questions About Classes
CompuTrain classes are In-Person or Online. What is the difference between “In-Person” classes and “Online” classes?
"In-Person" class means the instructor for your class is teaching the class in the same classroom you are seated in. If you come to a public class at CompuTrain, our instructors are always inside the classroom delivering an engaging, informative class and have the ability to address questions that arise in a manner where all students benefit.
"Online" class means you are participating in the class virtually, either on Microsoft Teams or on Zoom.
Do I have to meet the prerequisites to take a class?
While not mandatory, meeting the prerequisites for each class is highly recommended. Prerequisites are detailed on each course outline.
CompuTrain offers a Self-Assessment Tool for each Microsoft Office application to assist the student in self-evaluating what level class is best given his or her current skill set. Each Roadmap will ask the student a series of questions, and based on his or her responses, a course level is recommended.
Please call us for further clarification on which level course is best for you.
Do I need to bring a laptop to class?
If you are attending class at the CompuTrain Training Center, you do not need to bring a laptop with you to class. Each student will be seated at a desktop for a hands-on learning experience.
How do I enroll in a class?
